John
Halloran of Knocknageragh, Knockanalban, County Clare, Ireland was married
to Mary Sexton around 1820 and had

They were my great- great grandparents.
They are buried in a family vault in Killernan Graveyard.

Knockanalban townland is in the Parish of
Kilmurry-Ibrickane Parish. The Halloran
Family lived on a farm in the North East corner of the townland on the
Killernan Road near Ahy Bridge. This was
also known as Mount Scott. There were
subdivisions in this townland that the locals used to differentiate their area.
The Hallorans were from Knocknageragh. The
others subdivision names were: Loughaneliegh, Freehanes, Parknageehy and
Quartermyer. Other names that were used
in the parish records were Ahy or Ahy Bridge.
Some of the Halloran children married local men and women and raised families in the parish. I invite you to read about John and Mary Halloran’s descendants.
If you have any relation in this family I
would be a pleased to share what information I have with you and also would
like hear from you if you know of any errors in my reporting.

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for all your efforts. If there is anything else that you could tell me about Margaret Mary Halloran - my great-grandmother (whose parents were John Halloran and Bridget (nee Curtin)), I would appreciate it. She migrated to Australia around 1900/01 but we only have fragments of information. My email is suekyte@optusnet.com.au. Thanks again, Sue
